Bongs

A bong is simply a glass water pipe that uses water to cool down the smoke. Bongs are an excellent way to smoke cannabis, whether you’re flying solo or hanging out with a group of friends. They’re also a healthier alternative than their spoon pipe brethren, thanks to the water filtration that helps in cooling down your hit. The primary job of the bong is to deliver as much cannabis smoke into your lungs as quickly as possible. Beyond their killer functionality, bongs have also become a means to make a statement, along with an optimal avenue to make a statement with some functional glass art.

Beaker Bongs

Contrary to popular belief, beaker bongs were not invented by Dr. Bunsen Honeydew’s assistant, Beaker, from the Muppets. That is not the case. Besides, everyone knows Beaker is all about the booze (I mean look at that hair). Back to reality, where the beaker bong is a classic water pipe design that is lauded for its killer function via its large water capacity and wide beaker base that helps to stop any spills that may occur. They also have more surface area, which allows for more intricate and creative designs. The larger surface area also allows for percolators, ice-catchers, and multiple chambers to provide much bigger and smoother hits than its straight tube brethren. There’s a reason every smoker worth their salt has at least one of these bad boys in their collection. They’re fantastic to use for a solo session or when you’re hanging out with a group of friends. You simply cannot go wrong with a high-quality beaker bong.

Percolator Bongs

Before we get into what is a percolator bong, we need to speak briefly on what exactly is a percolator AKA a perc? You’re undoubtedly familiar with the term if you’re a frequent coffee drinker. For everyone else who isn’t familiar, a percolator essentially acts as a type of filter, and you’ll find these “filters” inside the bong. As you inhale, they produce little bubbles from tiny holes, increasing the surface area for the smoke to interact with the water. This cools down the smoke, which lessens the harshness, allowing you to take bigger and smoother hits with ease. Another positive aspect of filtering your rips through a perc is that they also remove the nasty tar, ash, and other debris that is found in marijuana. Thus, making them a healthier alternative to bongs that don’t feature any percolation at all. Some percolators you’ll find in our bongs are matrix, showerhead, double tree, and honeycomb, just to name a few. For the most part, they all function in the same way, with the primary differences being the amount of filtration they can provide, how they perform, and how they look.

Mini Bongs

The person who said that good things come in small packages wasn’t specifically referring to mini bongs, but the adage still applies, nonetheless. What mini bongs lack in size, they more than make up for in function and affordable price tag. You may ask yourself, “What even makes a bong ‘mini’ in the first place?” Essentially, they are just like their bigger bong brothers with all the same features, just in a much more compact design. They typically are no bigger than 10” with some high-end designs featuring percolators for some additional filtration. As previously stated, mini bongs tend to cost less than large-sized bongs, although some more intricate designs may raise the price. Due to their size, they’re also ideal to toss into your purse or backpack for an on-the-go session. Because they are smaller in size, they are also much easier to hide when traveling to your next sesh. And when the time comes to clean the sucker, it won’t take nearly as long as bongs that are twice the size. If you’re worried that they can’t provide the same high-quality experience as their larger counterparts, fret no more. Mini bongs can pack quite the punch besides offering optimal flavor every time you put the bad boy to work.
